  • News about the Back to School Moonbeam Competition!

Getting back into the routine after the long summer holiday is hard isn't it? If you're starting a new school it's jelly-wobble time. New friends to make. New teachers to get used to. New buildings to find your way around. At the end of that first day though I bet you arrive home full of chatter and excitement. You'll see!  The back to school Moonbeam Competition was to write a description of your first day back at school (pictures too if you like!) I think Georgia appearing on NEWSROUND takes a lot of beating, don't you?

One of my Moonbeams became a MOVIE STAR on her first day back at school! How about that then? Georgia appeared on NEWSROUND! THis is what she had to say about it:

Hi it’s Georgia,

I'll tell you about my first day back at school and the Newsround thing.

Well, at first it was fine because none of my friends knew except 2 but when we went on the website, it came up and we watched the video. When I was on screen, literally everyone was staring at me and saying things like,
” Oh my god is that Georgia!?”,
“ Georgia you’re famous!”,
“Oh my god I’m friends with a movie star!”
“ Why didn’t you tell me?!”

And no one would leave it or me alone for about a week and my friends still bring it up every now and again.

Here is a picture of me by my sister Jenna.

I just love these pictures sent in by Jenna!
Here is how she felt about Georgia's appearance on T.V.

Jenna says:
"After my sister was on newsround I was confident to go to school but still a bit scared. After the first couple of weeks I started getting used to where I was going and I got used to the school very quickly. I am now playing electric guitar on Wednesdays and I started a few weeks ago."
Jenna

Well done Jenna! You have settled into your new scgool very well.

Our Moonbeam of the month is . . .
Georgia.

Georgia answered all the questions correctly.
1.
The Ru-B-Loos are evil because they can turn into balls of fire to attack.

2.
You can stop a Ru-b-Loo chasing you by scattering rice because they need to stop to pick up every grain.

3.
The Ru-B-Loos appear in 'Tillie and the Voodoo Kid'.
